Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian music writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise from bloggers as well as the press. Half the World Away - by the Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole have already been two notable covers that the singer has created. Katy Perry's endorsement of the song Runaway in a blog post gave the artist some additional recognition. Celebrate the special occasion. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was finding a keyboard within her loft and being intrigued by its sounds. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music more as a hobby as a career. As a result, she started writing her own music. Her sources include noted authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her love of Bjork's style. When her mother told her that the songs she wrote might not be famous for her, but instead to inspire people to see the importance of their work and influence in our world at large, she started playing them on stage. She began playing the piano as her primary instrument when she was six. She started writing music when she turned nine. It was not until she turned 14 when she shared her story with her parents. It was never a dream to be Aurora. She just loves to write songs. For her, the songs she creates are how she feels about everything.
